First, you must be able to log in. If you cannot login to Hotmail, you cannot change your password. Period. See the links to related articles for some help if you cannot login.

On the resulting page, you’ll find a link labeled Password:

Hotmail may then ask you to login again, to prove that you are the account holder by knowing the old password:

Once you’ve entered the correct password, you’ll then be taken to the change your password page:

Enter your old password where indicated, and then enter a new password in the two places that’s requested. Press continue, and you’ll be taken to the login page again where you can use your new password to login.
