In Japang robots can do anything and now they can identify wines too ! The ability to discern good wine from bad, name the specific brand from a tiny sip and recommend a complementary cheese. When it has identified a wine, the robot speaks up in a childlike voice. How this robot can do that ? at robot’s left arm is an infrared spectrometer. When objects are placed up against the sensor, the robot fires off a beam of infrared light. The reflected light is then analyzed in real time to determine the object’s chemical composition.

Bandai the most famous robot company from Japan next mid-december will release  a new robot entirely controlled remotely thru its Wi-Fi connection. It has a webcam to allow you to see where it goes, a battery life of 2.5 hours, and weights 980g total. It also has 3 sensors (Sensor Monitor) to avoid bumping into things.

I think 2-3 months not post about robotic, and now I posted it again! this robot made by Takara Tomy and named The Micromachine robot. stands 15cm tall and “has 17 axes and a gyro sensor which allows it do the walking�. Not only this features, in high-end model it come with integrated camera and Bluetooth support. It’s powered by two Lithium Polymer batteries and is scheduled to go into production by March 2007.
