Sharp announced two new LCD monitors
17-inch LL-17A-W and 19-inch LL-194B-B model. Both LCDs will have a 1280×1024 SXGA resolution, 160 degrees viewing angle, 8ms response time, and two color variants - black and white. This LCD monitor offers 650:1 contast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, and built-in stereo speaker. It is planned to hit the Japanese market on June, 14th. MultiSync LCD2070WNX, a 20″ Wide screen from NEC (funnily enough, the 2 Mitsubishi 17″ in dual Screen in front of me have the same casing) that offers an almost acceptable resolution of 1680×1050 (so WSXGA+), a 145 degrees viewing angle, a 300cd/m2 brightness and a 500:1 contrast ratio for 560 EUR.
